20mm.

Supposed to make you not kill yourself. Even with a 2cm intake restrictor these things are stupid fast, imagine 500lbs with 200+hp vs 30-80. You would need racecar experience not college students with none.

Um, these cars don't make 200hp. They typically make around 100hp. Also the restriction is 20mm on gasoline, 19mm on E85 if I remember correctly. The restriction is to keep the cars from being stupid fast. You know how easy it is to make an unrestricted 600cc sport bike engine make 150-200hp? About as hard to make a 600cc sport bike engine with a 20mm restrictor make 100hp.

As for HMT having a car, honestly, you wouldn't even need a budget class. Most of these cars LOOK nice but the end result is a combination of 1000 parts that should theoretically work, put together at the last minute, never tested, and 1 or many of them fail during the endurance race. Honestly, if you make it through the endurance race, you will most likely finish middle of the pack.

Apparently basic reading is not in your skill set.

im pretty sure race prepped 600's make like 120-130, this is something that college kids put together, not experienced engine builders.
my buddy who worked on the UW madison team was telling me about the stupid complicated shifter/ignition interupt/air shifter/compressor setup they wanted to do. he races motorcycles and was like all you got to do is pull on the shifter and snap the throttle. they wanted to have some servo motor pull the clutch and ----, it was stupid. those might have 75hp to the wheels

You can run forced induction on the cars, that is how you can get 200hp from a 600 (IF you didn't have the 20mm restrictor). As for college kids, TU Graz (Redbull sponsored) spent 6 WEEKS on a Formula 1 Dyno.

As for the complicated clutch/blip system, it isn't easy when you don't have an easy to reach clutch pedal, and you run a pneumatic or electromechanical shift system.
