found a 'great deal on an hy35' need educated opinions

so a local has an hy35 with about 30k on it, really nice turbo from what im told..off an 02 or 03.....i remember reading about these a while back when people were getting into using them.....but for the last year i havent built a car....so i'm just checkin to see what people that have experience with these think, i may use it with an ls turbo setup, or may end up getting an s13 and either run it on the ka or even on an sr....so gimmie opinions, and if you have links to the info even better

im not 100% certain on this, but I think that the HY/HX turbo's are rough on a SR. Cams are almost essencial, as well a opening up the head a bit...if you want any decent response from it. I mentioned this option to a few people locally, and... well...I pretty much was told that putting that snail on a non-cammed SR was just dumb...take it for what its worth...the info is from some pretty solid people...

Just sell it to me ;D
J/k I'm running one on my 1.6 that
I got from 88dx and it spools up pretty quick.
About 4800-5000rpms I get 12psi.

could be very true....i think more than likely it would be put on a KA, and if an ls spools it by 4k im sure a 2.4l would spool it pretty damn well.....or is my logic all messed up? im sure a honda head may flow more air, but i think a 2.4l HAS to move a good amount

I ran one on a 2.3 ford so it Should work great on a ka with the better flowing head. Made pretty decent power

that was exactly the point I had made to them "if a Honda head can spin it, im sure a ka or sr20 should be able to spin it" but they all said that the nissan heads flow like complete ass. These are words from people who have been messing with the SR for many many many years, and actually been BUILDING them. As for the KA, you would probably need to check into that...but I wouldnt imagine it being any different.
