ahhh good question...

a frankstein motor means puting any vtec head on any non vtec block for example a d16y7 motor comes non vtec, get an si vtec from a coupe, and you get a mini frankstein... which produces 140 hp, ive sceen more...

then theres the b-series motors....

get any non vtec block and swap a vtec head on it...

like my buddie, has a B20Z2 block, and has a B18C5 head! and everything is type r pretty much except the botem end... and the motor produces 240 hp on stock parts alone! have been proven... and have the dyno sheets to prove it... cause I know some of you biches have big mouths...

and also there is the LS / VTEC basicaly a b18a1/b1 motor with a b16a1/a2 head on it, or any vtec head except the H22A

for the H-series...

basicaly get a H23 non vtec block and swap the vtec head of a vtec h22 motor... you get a torqe *** motor with that one, my buddie has it in his accord 2.3 L VTEC hp unknown I don't know how much it produces but it beets the b20z frankstein...

so yeah honda rules!!! haha... don't get me started on the K-Series motors cause we gona be here all night! speaking of night it's 4am so I am outa here!

well, mainly these are referred to b-series motors. the d-series version is known as a mini-me.

well in America you call them mini-me! but here in Canada we call them mini-frankstein, cause his cuzins with the b-series...

same ---- realy... I use to have one now I swaped a b-series which has allmost equal hp...

I think this is where it started, now I think the real def. is use whatever yo create whatever using different engine components.

LS/Vtec
B20/Vtec

D17 crank/pistons/rods into a D16......
use whatever....

Thanks to all you who helped cus i was wondering what they were called cus i'm gonna make a frankstein motor swap hopefully pretty soon,i'm just working on my tranny and than later getting my vtec.
