Flat Black with Carbon Fiber

I have a carbon fiber hood and pretty soon I will have a carbon fiber sunroof plug on my crx. I really want to paint it flat black but I'm thinking that it will look sort of shitty with the nice shiny clear coated carbon fiber. Has anyone ever done this or have any picts of what I might be getting myself into?

if you're going to paint carbon fiber flat black, what's the point of getting carbon fiber anyways? you should've just painted your original hood flat black and the sunroof glass flat black.

yeah thats the problem, the hood is already on the car. I don't think i have it in me to paint over a 500 dollar hood. If someone could point me in the right direction for a good fiberglass plug though that would be pretty very helpfull.

You obviously bought both for the look, so paint the rest of the car flat black and keep them c/f

Itll look fine, even if you dont like it, trade your c/f oem for an oem fiberglass and paint that

Ive got a fancy "innvader" hood thats c/f and Im just painting the sucker flat black

My car was just broken into and vandalised, so I dont think c/f is the expensive look Im going for anymore so I picked up 3 quarts of Krylon gloss black

paint ur car flat black and leave the CF alone. If you plan on painting the CF just sell it and get the stock ones to paint over.

I commend everyone that paints carbon fiber black. It shows your in it for function, not fashion. What difference the carbon fiber stuff will make on a street car is questionable though, so I quess I am at odds with your decision. 8)

I want to but considering it wasn't all that long ago that I sold my soul to affor that ------- thing, so pretty much I think I would have a hard time actualy bringing myself to do so. As of right now I only like it cause its light as hell. The combinantion of that/ pulling the AC and a battery in the back has made my car handle like a dream. At the time of purchase though I needed a new hood anyways so I was like WTF. I'll get CF.
