That wouldnt happen to be a Gen 2 (95-99) Paseo would it? On the Terce/Paseo sites people always bitch about the DIS 5E being shitty. I think it might have some super weak ass rods in it. you can lower the comp a bit if you need by using a head gasket for a 1g Paseo, since its thicker. You might be able to get a set of 5EFHE rods too if you look around. They normall go for about $125 / $150 a set. Thne if you could get a set of 4EFTE stock pistons you would be all set.

The only thing I can think of that might be an issue is managment. I dont whow if you could use a 4EFTE ECU or now. I guess you could if you just bastardized the wiring harness. Thos things have a goofy returnless fuel system too.

I have an AFC hack on my 92 Tercel right now that seems to be working alright, but I need to get somthing to control the timing a bit better (like at all I mean).

Nice setup. I'd take the screen off the turbo though. You're more likely to suck the screen in then you are to prevent anything from getting in.

yep thats a 2nd gen paseo. i havent been able to find much on tuning, i was thinking megasquirt but eh idk, i just dont want to go the fmu way. :l

the screen is on there tight, i want to put a filter but ----, shits tighter in there than..ill leave that up to you, lol. im tryin to figure out where i can route a pipe to slap on the filter. first thoughts were, 90º bend and leave the filter almost next to the turbo, but eh ill try to take it away from the heat

God, I hate to say it, but check out www.tercelonline.com . Honestly, its pretty goddamn fag most of the time, and everyone is going to tell you to just "do the 4EFTE swap" but if you look, theres some decent ---- on there. Actually, theres a guy on there thats got 4EFTE stock manifold and turbo that you could probably get for the cheapness.

SAFC Hack with a 2bar MAP gets my vote though

i have always wanted to turbo a tercel.. don't ask me why. i am a toyota tech and when one comes in with no a/c or p/s i always look at all the room and think a turbo would fit nicely. Post up picks if you get it going. :)
