First Turbo!

Well, like the subject says its my first turbo. I have a 1996 Honda Civic, its Mini-me'ed. I have a Ractive Header custom, 2.5" exhaust, cold air intake, short shifter, fuel pressure regulator, F.P. gauge, Sunpro tack, and i'm dropped sitting only about 4" off the ground riding on acura 15" 5 spoke rims. I got my two-tone paint job at the end of last summer. The engine is out of a 2000 civic ($350Cdn), tail lights are from a '99 (i hate orange/amber) and the head lights are all clear and chrome no amber. I just purchased a front strut bar that i will put on in the spring. I'm trying to keep it as stock as possible. I HATE 5.0's!!!! I wan tto shock the hell out of them!!!
Now for the turbo: What I got

-TD04 turbo
-Diverter valve from a '03 VW GTI 1.8T
-Factory intercooler from a VW GTI 1.8T
-DSM blue top injectors
-custom made exaust manifold I fabricated at work.

What I am going to get:

A'pexi AFC
Custom downpipe
boost gauge
boost controller
Walboro or Holley in tanek fuel pump
charge piping
and some new rubber, the old ones are toast!

Re: First Turbo!

that turbo's too small and the power will drop at about 5k rpm. you should go for a .60 trim t3 atleast, and a t3/t4 if you can afford it.

A TDO4 is a fine turbo to ruin a non turbo engine with regardless of which TD04 it is. Hopefully you don't ruin it with something wussy like TDO4 09B. Watch that diverter valve as they're weaksauce construction and the rubber diaphragm tends to rip. If you've got spare cash, check into a Forge:

It's good to plan big installs like that. I plan on adjusting my mirrors in 2018.
