You need to rethink this. I just did. Why don't you shoot for maybe 250-300 whp for your first setup. Do you have any idea how fast you want to go? 500 whp? Do you have any idea how much power that is? And in a little fwd crx. Have you ever driven even a 12 sec. car. You want to run high 10's? You will kill yourself. You better start small.

ok thanks guys for talkin some sense into me

500 whp/tq is what i want but youre right i need to start small so i can learn more and not kill myself :P

350 hp sounds good. so probably would be ok with that first turbo and maybe some smaller injectors like 450s. would that be too much on stock internals?

hmm 350whp seems a bit high for a high compression motor......make sure you tune the ---- out of it

"im thinkin about getting a tig welder(even though ive never welded before, but how hard could it be?) and making my own manifold."
ni66a please. Dude do you know how do to anything? Everything seems to be your "first". Why would you want to buy a high compression motor and then boost it? Feels like I'm talking to my kid about this. I'm tired was wasting my breath. Where do these noobs find this site? we should have a test you should have to take before you can become a member.

hahahah
im ninteen *** :P

ive only recently started liking imports and making them fast

i usta have a 99 jeep grand cherokee laredo. it was a nice ride but it lacked speed, so i traded it for a civic dx and have been a honda enthusiast ever since.

i know im a noob but i come here because you guys know ALOT about boosting cars and im just wantings some imput on a nice ride...

oh and would a gsrs compression be more boost friendly? since its lower. but the stock hp/tq is lower than the type-r, thats why i wanted to get that one.

but if the gsr would be a better choice because of the lower compression ill use that one. but ill also have to make up for the 20 hp/8 trq lost. but still thats only .5 difference . will that make much of a difference?

Where's Hotsex when you need him Tig welding, how hard can it be I'm not even wasting my time with you anymore. I heard honda-tech.com is an even more knowledgeable site then here. You should go check out their site. We don't know nothing and we all just have electric ebay turbo's on our cars. Were just post whoring noobs so we look like know alot but we really don't.

Yo Jacob U should start small since it's ur first project. Don't be mad at these guys but i know there tried of noobs getting on the board an posting and not reading the info that's there. U have to decide how fast u wanna go and the reliablity is another matter to think about. So stay w/ a sohc an walk w/ that then run big if u choose. U don't want to spend $3k or more on a motor and blow that bitch up and complain to us about it. A sohc is a dime a dozen. Read other members experience and problem's that way when or if u run in to it u can solve it.
