First ever giant octopus attack caught on tape

Here's a link to the original page where I found the story

http://science.slashdot.org/science/...7/227240.shtml

And here's the page with the video

http://www.seaeye.com/whatsnew_2005.html

Some of you may think it's a weak ass video, but I think it's incredibly interesting.

In the video it looked like the octopus simply farted, I didn't see an attack. :1

Yea I guess my title is a bit misleading. It wasn't really too much of an attack. The ROV costs $200k and is uninsured, so the operator got scared and scared the octopus away before it could've done damage to it.

IMO, he should have waited longer to actually see if the octopus did attack. Could've gotten some great footage if he wasn't such a -----.

:-\ i was kinda disappointed also since this is Jago were talking about, i figured the "giant octapus" was code word for some random chic he met at a bar lastnight. but interesting none the less.
