Has anyone heard about this yet?!?!?

Ignition systems now can burn hot and long enough to light the leanest mixtures that will support combustion.
A spark plug can not improve combustion efficiency past what is already designed into the engine to the point of improving gas mileage by any significant amount, since most miss-fires happen at low rpm anyway.
A horsepower gain will only bee seen if there are a whole bunch of miss-fires happening, and there usually aren't.
Detonation can not be prevented by changing spark plugs, only preignition.
Spark plugs do not change cam profiles, so they can not change the engines volumetric efficiency.
Oh, and that article is very old, he probably compared them to a 100kmi set of standard plugs in the BBC test engine.
