Re: firefox problems viewing posts with lots of pics
here are some extensions you guys should dl to make firefox work better:
ADBLOCK:
https://addons.mozilla.org/extensio...ication=firefox <--- the name is self explainable
Filterset.G Updater for Adblock!
https://addons.mozilla.org/extensio...nfo.php?id=1136 <--- This addon for Adblock regularly updates a list of ad servers to add
to Adblocks blacklist. With this, you will almost NEVER see a banner advertisement in Firefox again, making browsing pages ALOT faster, and less cluttered.
W/O the extension:
With extension:
then, if you dont have fasterfox, get it:
www.fasterfox.com<---- With this Firefox extension, you can easily enable Firefox's
signature Pipelining feature. This feature make browsing faster by sending 'x' number of requests for a page, rather than one.
Don't set the number of Pipelining requests too high, as it puts a strain on webservers. Using 8 as default won't tax too high on servers, but you will see a great increase in load times.

Re: firefox problems viewing posts with lots of pics
it works for me.
when you click on the link to dl, there should be a lil bar that pops up a lil under the address bar. click on "edit options" then a window pops up, click on "update.mozilla.org" and then click allow. that should do it.
to see if it worked, go Tools>>options and one of the tabs should be for fasterfox. choose your settings there.

Re: firefox problems viewing posts with lots of pics
I'm using Firefox 1.0.7 in Ubuntu Linux. I occasionally get photo glitches on this forum, but it only happens when I scroll down with the mouse wheel. If I stick to the Pageup and Pagedown keys it's fine. I'm waiting for the official release of 1.5.0 to try it.

Re: firefox problems viewing posts with lots of pics
I installed the 1.5 RC and a couple of the extensions I use haven't been updated yet to support it.
There is also an annoying bug where if you disconnect the LAN cable when Firefox is open (like if you disconnect a laptop from a docking station) Firefox starts rocking the CPU to 100% and will keep doing it until you kill it.
