Re: Finished pics of the hmt kit
nice and simple, very good job.
one of the better and cleaner HMT jobs. only thing that sticks out (to me) is the charge pipe, everything else looks like it should belong there. |
Re: Finished pics of the hmt kit
its def clean. what kinda charge pipe is that? looks like fence posts. but it still looks good. i like how you kept the stock heat sheild, those hf mani's are U-G-L-Y. lol i guess thats why hmt loves em though.

Re: Finished pics of the hmt kit
This setup is worthy of a helping hand.
Did you paint your wheels during the project too? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...key/turbo1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...key/turbo2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...key/turbo3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...key/turbo4.jpg Very clean. Pretty much a flawless low budget setup. |

Re: Finished pics of the hmt kit
Thanks N1ghtMOnkey. I would have done that if i knew how. No i didnt paint the white wheels i just put another set i had on there to try and get more traction. The black set of wheels are gsr wheels with a way more stickier tire on them and it still didnt help as much as i wanted. The car has alot more potential if i could keep the wheels from spinning. Anybody have any ideas on that. I dont think it would be so bad if the turbo didnt spool up so damn quick.

Re: Finished pics of the hmt kit
Get a different manifold or adapter plate and run a bigger turbo is all I can think of. That or get a 15x7 or even a 15x6.5 wheel would work and run 205/50/15 tires like Toyo Proxes 4 or something.
I'd go for the bigger turbo though, 60/63 T3 would be a good choice but you'll have wastegate placement issues if you stick with the HF manifold. If I were you I'd save for an internally gated big T3 (48/60 or 60/63) or a small t3/t4 (remanufactured) and get a log manifold from LSD Motorsports or somebody else in the classifieds. |
