Finished my HMT paint job.....56k maybe
Well this took me over 3 months to do but I'm pretty lazy, I was only working on it a couple days a week. Let me tell you bodywork/sanding is a pain in the ass, painting it was pretty fun. Turned out ok for my first paint job, could have used more clear but after the 2nd coat I couldn't see or breathe anymore :P. This was all done in a front attached garage with a dinky fan as ventilation. Oh white isn't my first choice of colour but it's the easiest to paint, you see less flaws and blemishes.
Before http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/RSLwheels 002.jpg Fenders, bumpers and hood came off to make things easier and cleaner http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/bodywork%20017.jpg http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/bodywork%20019.jpg Shaved spoiler, antenna and emblems, done with fibreglass and bondo to smooth it over. We'll see how well that holds out. >:D http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/bodywork%20005.jpg http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/bodywork%20007.jpg I primered the whole car but it's not really neccesary. You just need to primer the bondo spots but I decided to do the whole thing as practice using the gun. Damn primer was messy. http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/bodywork%20027.jpg http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/bodywork%20026.jpg http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/bodywork%20025.jpg Well here's the end result,it was worth it but it was alot of damn work and a pain in the ass. :1 http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/White%20001.jpg http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/White%20002.jpg http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/White%20017.jpg http://www.members.shaw.ca/djfob/White%20003.jpg |

nice work. White hides bodywork/bondo pretty good. my other accord was white, it also had about a gallon of bondo in it, but looked real fresh even up close.

Re: Finished my HMT paint job.....56k maybe
I just couldn't stand the purple anymore, pretty good sleeper though lol. Still needs to be buffed but I'm just worried that'll I'll burn through it with my power polisher/sander. Also trying to figure out what type of compound I should use to buff it with.
