Yeah ... my car was standing on the side of the road for almost a week with no engine in it.
I finally put in the ZC...it was a pain....I looked a ZCmodifiers website i had almost the same setup...1st gen ZC(brown top) with 2nd gen ZC tranny....but i used a 1ste gen ZC head with the black top ZC intake mani and a A6 throttle body. The tranny doesn't bolt up at the back of the block...I left then one...lo lazy to drill and tap...took out the dowel pin to...and the long starter bolt doesn't line up either....left it to going with one starter bolt and another shortened bolt just to keep the starter from rotating (just in case).
The rest bolt up fine and then the only mount that goes on the engine...well i got a piece of a mount that was OEM, but never seen it before it was kinda modified and bolted to the 1st gen head, cause the 1sten gen block doesn't have the mounting points for the newer mounts. The mount is only bolted with one bolt to the head..kinda scary...the head supporting the block on one side on one bolt and the other 3 mounts are all bolted to the tranny.
it should hold up though, but i might go make a custom piece to add to the existing mount that bolts up to some other holes on the block that isn't used.
tomorrow i'm putting everything back together do a compression test and start it and go buy some bolts etc...for my turbo setup.

I don't get it, you put a brown top ZC in an EF? why?
