Here it is finally. I got it running a bit ago, but blew the engine due to a faulty wastegate. After replacing that and rebuilding the engine, I got this final project, enjoy.

Gotta love your ugly fluxcore welds, mine are even uglier! O0 Who cares as long as that ---- holds, it's gangsta.
Love how the HMT sticker perfectly fits your window and your intercooler looks totally sleeper sexy. Good ----! |
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*

I get full boost by about 2600-3200 rpms (I don't know exactly because my tach doesn't work, so I just glance down at my SAFC to see what RPM I'm at. It's hard to keep my eyes on the road and watch that SAFC at the same times. I was going to run megasquirt, but then I decided to wait for MSII, and here I am. Still an option for the future though >:D Thanks for the comments, guys. Jeff or any Mod, if you want me to make an official writeup, I would be more than happy to, just let me know. |

Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
It's a 1g DSM BOV ;)
My brother just got a new Digital Video Recorder, so maybe I'll ask him if we can borrow it for the next HMT meet. I need to find somebody local that has some 4 lug stealies with ---- tires so I can burn the crap out of them ;) |
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
upullrparts ;) I do if you have a 4x114.3 bolt pattern but I think yours is a 4x110

The ST was the only one with the 4lug pattern. The GT/GTS all have 5X100 |
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
Solid work! I love it.
Question. is it the same motor you have in yours as the 91 SoHC corolla? A buddy of mine at work wants to boost his and i told him i would help. The only thing that concerns me is the FM. I didnt know if you could use the DSM 450's but looks like you are. Just want to know if the same can to be done to his 91 corolla. Ill PM you for more info so i dont thread jack your ----. Julio |
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
Many think it's an SOHC engine because it only has one cam gear. There's a sub gear inside that attaches the two cams together, so there are two cams. I believe your buddy has the same engine. The 450's dropped right in, I just used the grommets/orings from the 4afe. Biggest pain is the manifold because you have to watch out for the radiator fan, alternator and radiator, but you can make it just fine.

Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
Damn, you got it all together. Good work.
It's good to see a non-honda on the HMT tip. The turbo for the integra is coming in a couple days. We should be having a meet soon either way. |
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
damn, nice job there... i like how you didn't even bother knocking down the bird turds.
|
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*

Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
Damn my buddy has the same style celica that he is going to make his winter beater. Maybe he would like to get around a liitle faster in the winter
Nice setup love the fmic placement |
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
Nice job man. Good to see something other than a honda every once in a while.
|
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*

Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
Looks great!
I think this is the first one of this kind that I've seen. Are you just running the hack right now for fuel management? |
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
I'm just running the SAFC the way it was ment to be used, not the hack.
I promise you all that there will be some minnescrotum burnout session videos comming soon, but let me break the engine in a little bit. |
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
nice, different, but that downpipe looks like it has a combonation of herpes and warts
|
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*

Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
1-Hi are you using the stock 4af ecu?
2- are you using the stock 4afe pistons are these the same as in the 4ag 3- which pistons do you recommend me to use for 7 to 10 psi of boost the 4ac pistons that are supposed to be low compression pistons or the 4ag pistons that are supposed to be stronger |
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*

Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
Argh. After a while, all threads should get teh lock so this doesnt happen...
|
Re: Finally finished, 1990 Celica ST with boost *56K eat a dick*
Like already stated, he should have just pm'd instead of bumping a 6 month old thread. But wow, this does prove though that a noob is capable of using the search function. :o Good job on that part.
