Now that you've gotten an IS, have you given any consideration to joining a sorority?

jk, personally I like 'em but would have held out for a 5spd.

This is true, I guess the average HMT'er when we first started was 18-20, it's been 3+years, people change. I would have never ever ever said I wanted an auto, 3 years ago, hell 1 year ago.

Now I kinda do. I sucks to grow up.

nope, you know i thought about hitting up a sorority, but not to join ;). if you ever get a semi luxury car like the IS, you'll want an auto too. Trust me hahaha, its smooth as butter :P

On my list of candidates
2004+ Acura TL - test drove one, auto, nice, on top of the list right now.
Cadillac CTS - I love the look, need to drive one
Infiniti G35 - I went to see one, did not like the interior, but it was the cheap cloth seat model. Saw one running 14.1 at the track, 4dr auto, stock.

So I think it will be an auto, the next whip.

yeah that TL was actually on my list also. the dealership i bought the IS from had one also. fully loaded w/ navi and all. they wanted 29k and after i would have added some warranties and all the other stuff it would have been like 35 :-X, might as well buy a new one ;D

Yeah, just what happened to me, the one I test drove was a 2005, it had about 20k miles :-X :-X :-X, so I'm thinking, well its a newer car so it should be ok, get extended warranty and be good.

They wanted $29,500 and would only give me $10k for the WRX. HELL NO!!!!!That would add another $5k or so to the loan, plus any other warranties at a used car % rate....the payment was close to $700.

and it didn't even have the nav system. The car brand new is $32k, so for another $3k I could get a new one. So I flipped the bird and left. Also you get better deals, discounts and better interest rates when you buy a new car.
