It finally blew only took 18pounds

Finally i blew my stock LS, took 18 pounds of boost and a blown head gasket. It would have still been alive if it didnt try and compress the water.

all the pistons still look perfect and the other cylinder walls too.New motor comes in on monday

its about time and have you taken those pistons out to see the actual condition of them.

prolly the ringlands are gone on that one cylinder. There is no scoring of the cylinderwalls on the other pistons so im saying the ringlands are prolly good on them. ill find out when i strip it to bare block to get my 20 bucks of alluminum from the scrape yard

daily boosting 14 pounds for 7 months, about 10k miles in the arizona heat

----! what turbo did you run on this? I need this setup on my ls! If it lasts for 7 months on 14 psi, that would own with .63/.60. :)

would still be running if coolant didnt get in that cylinder. had a t3/t4 48/60 57 trim

wow, that ownage is like a clean cooter, just simple and clean. Plus that LS must have had some balls, i didn't know they were that tough

Daily boosting 17psi on my build D in the hot sw florida heat for...---- I dont even remember its been so long. Nice job!
