Fiberglass bumper repair
Hi i need to fix my rear fiberglass bumper cause it was hit by a cyclelist. Do you know of any good websites with steps on doing this the right way? Ive done it before and it turned out ok but i was left with little pin holes.

Re:Fiberglass bumper repair
ive looked for sites too... but nothing good out there...
your just gonna have to figure it out... one thing to do... if it is shattered.. gather all the peices... put it together like a puzzle, tape them together from the back side and brush a layer of resin on the outter layer . then add 1 peice of fiberglass cloth... dabb that with resin... make sure it covers the whole section that was damaged.... you let that dry... then you work on the back side... or inner side... you put multiple layers of resin and cloth .. the more the better... but dont get carried away. then when the back side is dry... you should have a solid section again. now just fill in the rest with resin and do some body work.... thats how i fixed my bros front bumper... it came out ok..
but yeah... make the cyclist pay....

Re:Fiberglass bumper repair
Whats up coppercivic. I do body repair for a job so I could help you out with any questions you might have. email me with any questions at chevyk20@lycos.com. If you got alot of pinholes the first time you did this just get some puddy (spot puddy) and give the pinholes a light skim coat. Then sand it smoothe and it should look real nice.
