looking good. did the machine shop check if any of your sleeves were warped since u posted your block. what rods/pistons will u be using???

Honda16hb 05-03-2004 01:39 AM

Re:few pix of my LS block and such

I don't know if the posts messed up the sleeves to cause the need for an overbore or if it was just engine wear, either way it doesn't matter, it's fixed now.

I'm going to be using wiseco pistons with eagle h-beam rods in a kit from www.raceeng.com on the phone they said it would be $759 for the .020 over kit, I'm guessing shipping is extra.

Re:few pix of my LS block and such

the machine shop said it needed to be bored so I said ok. does it scare you because it's not normal or because it makes the sleeves want to break?

my step mom bought 2 cases of v8. I like it when it's really cold and you can't taste it too much, or with lots of lime juice and salt.

V8's good ----, basically i pour out 1/3 of the V8 and refill it with vodka.. and then take off in the car to work.

Re:few pix of my LS block and such

Kyle, you are very abnormal in your engine building, but I like it. Even if you bust one of those sleeves because you bored .20 over/screwed up the posts/ect... I still look up to you. ;)

If i were you i wouldnt cut up the crank pulley or use an aftermarket one. The stock ones were designed as a harmonic dampener to make the bottom end live longer.

I agree. I don't know the exact reasoning(or if that's true), but I wouldn't go ------- with it, but then again, you did go and drill holes in the block in unknown positions so what the ----, do it up man. ;)

stealth is going to use an aluminum pulley on his d-series hotrex beater crx, we look up to each other so I'm going to do like he does, even if he doesn't do what I do.

Bloody marries are for old retired women. Real men drink beer.

When I saw the pic with the engine stand, I was like "WTF, there's no damn V8 on there, Kyle is a cracksmoker!" Then I saw the stupid can of tomato juice. Fucker! ;D

Re:few pix of my LS block and such

i dont under stand how posting the block actually make the sleeves take more boost, wouldnt it be the same as a block guard which goes around the whole sleeve? i know that the expansion rate and all that balh blah blah but wouldnt that happen with the posts also?

Honda16hb 05-03-2004 09:22 PM

Re:few pix of my LS block and such

the posts are made of the same ---- the block is made of so they expand and contract the same, at least that's the idea.

lol, u people pick the funniest ---- out of pictures... i never noticed the crutches

Honda16hb 05-03-2004 10:48 PM

Re:few pix of my LS block and such

I think they're the most in focus thing other than the engine itself, that's why people noticed.

you can also see my welder in the v-8 shot, I got that fucker working good, it had the wrong size tension wheel in.
