these bastards have fucked up twice now, this week!
delivered 1 package of mine to the wrong place, and lost my ------- turbo that was supposed to be here yesterday. i'm ------ pissed! |

I have never had any problems using FedEx. UPS on the other hand has screwed up a few times (causing me to use FedEx). Once UPS charged my debit card twice for the same shipment and never even picked up the box. Another time I bought a new MDA cell phone and one of the O0 yanked it out the side of the box and ghetto taped the box up and delivered it. The did a few other crap over the years. I use to only use them because FedEx was on the other side of town.

ups=great customer service. More expensive ground=claims=solid usps=hot girl at my local one Im hoping to tap soon. Flat rate owns all. |

Well, I never had problem to get my pieces shipped from US (I had like 100+ things shipped from US) You should know that you never ship something in the factory box. Transporters don't care about box. They kick them in the truck and brake the box...

UPS broke plenty of my packages. but those packages usually have insurance so i'm fine
fedex has been good to me so far. USPS.... sent 7 of my packages to the wrong address in the last 2 months. |

^ Good luck. I shipped a head once and when it got to the guys house the box was trashed and parts were handed to him by the UPS guy and said they were rolling around in his truck. Went to file a claim and after weeks they said that it wasn't boxed properly. WTF, it was in a minty fresh box stuffed with crushed newspaper per the UPS guidelines.

Anything heavy needs to be in away crated into the box. I make these out of us flat rate boxes so the thickness of the box is proably 6-7 times the normal thickness of a box. Then I wrap all cylinder heads,blocks in wrap I get from the local matress/furniture store stuff is sturdy. If it keeps things safe from China it'll make it to Iowa. Then go buck wild on tape. You can get rolls of tape at harbor freight for a buck sometimes less. Dont be cheap use a whole roll it costs a buck on heavy items of value. Its pretty simple So flat rate boxes=free us mail packing supplies=free newspaper=free plastic wrap at dumpster behind furniture store=free tape=1 dollar No excuses. |

anytime i ship any car parts they get foamed in place, unless is something small like injcetors, those get the buble wrap. i also staple that ---- then use the fiber-tape. btw to whoever said they rebox ---- at ups, our tape & boxes have our logo on them, so you cant do that ---- |

Anytime I've shipped anything large/bulky and heavy like a head, I've wrapped it in plastic bags, garbange bags, or saran wrap. Support the item in the box somehow (foam blocks), tape it up, then pump expanding foam into a small hole in the box. It's a paint to get it open for the customer, but it's damn near impervious to damage. A can of expanding foam is only $5 or so.

My local fedex throws those boxes away in the dumpster Im always box hunting there. Damn your shipping is setup for the turck to flip and the part still get there. Havent had a problem yet with my technique. The plastic from the furnaiture store makes life so much easier. |

ive had ups lose a package on me and they cracked the ---- out of a valve cover i shipped that was packed like ------- mad. i dont know how it was even possible unless it fell off the truck at highway speed and got ran over. needless to say they gave me the ------- run around for weeks and never let me file a claim on either package. i wouldnt use UPS if it was the last company on earth. i use DHL 90% of the time with USPS being the other 10% for lighter things or stuff i need to send priority mail. never once had a problem with either one.
