2003 corvette coupe
350hp @ 5600rpm
0 - 60 4.9
1/4mile 13.4 / 101.1

Integra Type R 1996
187hp @ 8000rpm (B18C)
0 - 60 6.2
1/4mile 15 something??

which is better 187hp at 8000 rpm or 350hp at 5600rpm?

V8 VS I4? I would rather have less insurance and save gas with the I4. Screw the vett. I could build the Integra to go 2 times faster than the vett for the price the vett costs. Stupid American cars;)

Re:FEAR THE DOMESTIC POWER!!!!

i pay the same amount of insurance on my crx as i would on a c5 corvette... they are in the same class "sports car"

going 2x faster than 13sec is impossible.

the vette is a far superior car in all respects except gas mileage.
out accelerates, out handles, out brakes. everything.

much more po in the ls1 engine too lol

anyways they aren't really comparable an integra and a corvette. but you can compare a NSX to a corvette. since an NSX is supposed to be the honda/acura sports car. and the vette wins hands down in every aspect.

You know the funny thing, I know a kid here in town that has raced a C5 corvette at bandimere (yes all official) and he beat the Corvette by over a car length. He is running a B16. I think all of you that think the C5 is the ultimate car must be on drugs or don’t see past the name. But that is what I have seen and W/O a doubt I can make that Integra faster in every respect than the Corvette for the price. $50k for the Corvette and give me $50k for an Integra and the parts I need and well see.

Re:FEAR THE DOMESTIC POWER!!!!

stock c5 corvette is 12.45 quatermile

the only way to judge is a type or model of a car is fast is by the stock numbers. ANY CAR CAN BE MADE FAST. VW bugs can be made to run 9s.

if you spent all the money on a integra to make it faster than a c5 corvette in the 1/4 mile it wouldn't be a street car anymore. it would take a big turbine/big shot of nos to make it run 12s. and a totally built engine

vettes are total street cars, and out perform ANY other car in all competitions done by independant sources.

everyyear the lingenfelter (spelling) twin turbo corvette wins the horsepower challange. beats every car that tried to challange it. but last year the twin turbo autoauthority porsche came close.

But you are putting way too much money to it. The only way you can fairly compare the Integra and the corvette is by the money you spend on it. Sure you can blow $130k on a corvette and make it beat everything but then it’s a racecar too. The hype of the corvette is crap and I do no respect it for what the car is. You spend $50 on a vett and ill spend $50k on an Integra and well see who comes out on top. Put your money where your mouth is. And no, the Civic that raced the C5 has no NOS and is a daily driver.

Do you watch the jgtc, ---- dude the ------ nsx owns its the ultimate chassi. The only thing it may be is underpowered but then again its one of the most effecient v6's ever concieved. But, news is that the v8 will come sooner or later and will reportedly be similar in design to twin f20c's mmm 500hp at 9k sounds good to me

you say stock numbers are the only way to judge, and i say thats bullshit...more important to me is a car's hp potential

outperform ALL other cars?...then how come last weekend there was a zo6 out at the local races who wouldnt race me in my vr-4 after he got his ass handed to him twice by an awd 1st gen eclipse?...answer: vettes are dogs on the street, just like any other rwd torque-monster...as soon as it warms up so he can get traction, ill be racing a friend with a c5 for money from 0-100, and i am totally confident
