Favorite classic imports?
I started one of these awhile on HT and got a pretty good turn out and some pretty interested cars. Include pics cause some new people probably never heard or seen some classics imports. here are the rules.
1. Non obd. 2. Can also be a domestic brand but was imported(Merkur, etc..) 3. Chassis couldn't of went into the 90's(CRX,240,etc...) 4. can be totally JDM or US don't matter. Post away |

Re:Favorite classic impost?
Can't go wrong with a DET 510. The baller rims kinda ruin it but then I guess the motor does too ::)

Re:Favorite classic impost?
here, my favorite 3 classics....
the chevy nova, fastback style. I had one almost like this one for my high school ride. I had a 74, it was brown, but still this style. "best in the parking lot" award 2 years in a row... http://www.newbieforces.com/files/my nova.jpg the classic chevy truck. this is exactly the way I would take it to. http://www.newbieforces.com/files/my truck.jpg and I was searching egay to find these pictures, and I come across this Merc. This is also one of my favorite classic's. By the way, I helped with this car, the body work. it was one of my last projects before I came into the military at the body shop I worked at. I wasnt able to finish it, and this is the first time I have seen it since completion. Galloways body shop in Bremen, Indiana is where it was all done at. We did alot of work like this. http://www.newbieforces.com/files/my merc.jpg |
Re:Favorite classic impost?
stillnoturbo I was gonna get it from J's Garage
http://www.j-garage.com/ I dont really remeber much of it, this was about 2 years ago. I just remeber it was white. and bad ass... I was gonna register it as a "farm vehicle" in Indiana, and put farm plates on it, and then it would be street legal, but you cant drive it after dark. ;) thats one way around things. I had a buddy in japan, and he goes there all the time. I will see if I still have the pictures on the computer, or find a bookmarked link. give me a few min.... |

Ok I will stop raiding off your topic. Post away with those pictures! sorry man. |
Re:Favorite classic impost?
Thats a good point. You gotta have some good connections for cars like that when you need/want stuff for it. I was kinda leary on my GTIR engine for my SE-R but a couple of shops are stocking more parts for them now and not so hard to get stuff for it now.

I think that was the point. 8) |
Re:Favorite classic imports?
#4 was meant as a car that was imported and sold in the US by a Import car maker. Thats like saying our LHD honda's aren't imports being that their sold here. I just mean a car made by a non US car maker, or a domestic car that had been imported here but had a US car makers name on it. the car could of been just strictly JDM or EDM or made in the Japan or Europe and sold here. ::) just have fun posting, and not be like a bunch of arguing old ladies bickering over stupid ----.

Those wheels are Revolution's. They don’t make em anymore and I don’t know the model. They are nice and light though, about 10lbs each for 16's |
