fast way to resize pitures...

Does anyone know how to resize pictures fast? say I have a picture to post on here and when I open it, its huge. but I wanna make it like 290x290 pixels. or like a 3''X 3'' is there a program that will do that and wont take it out of proportion?

I thought this was something someone else woudl wanna know so I posted it.

Word, belive it or not, you can attach it in word, click on it, drag the corners to the size desired, it will keep it realtive height and width, then you can copy, and paste it to something like paint and have a smaller pic.

If you want to post it smaller you can use the img tags but add width=600 height=400 after img, use the size desired, not necesarily 600x400

You can specify the size that you want a picture to appear in your img tags.

[ img height=200 width=300]www.urltothepic.com[/url ]

That is the fastest and easiest way and you still have the high resolution version available using a straight img tag.

That's the way I do it, anyway.
