i said i am a constitutionalist, that means i believe in separation of church and state, of limited government.

if two guys want to get married ( which is a religious practice) that should be between them and their pastor, not me.

if a girl wants to have an abortion or take birth control pills, that should be between her and her physician, not me.

i don't think the government should be able to take 20% of my paycheck and make unwise investment decisions, nor should they be able to take my house so they can sell it to a developer who wants to build a strip mall and pay more money in taxes.

read the constitution, thats what i believe in, every person should have the right to do whatever they want as long as it does not interfere with anouther persons rights.

marriage is a religious institution, BUT you have to go to the probate court TO GET A LICENSE for it to be LEGALLY RECOGNIZED...HOMOSEXUALITY has no place in religion, two queers(OR LESBIANS) shouldn't be able to walk up in a courtroom and get a legal license to marry...listen, just because something CAN be done, doesn't always mean that it should be done...And you talk about Jesus and Christianity as if it is such a BAD THING, you probaly think ALL Baptist preachers are like the Falwell guy and THEY'RE NOT...Not all Baptist churches are filled with hypocrites either...I don't know many christians who claim to be perfect or better than anyone else...believe me, I've been on both sides of tha fence, I've been through EXTREMELY HARD TIMES THROUGHOUT MY LIFE, I used to say if they're is a god then why would he let all this f@cked up ---- happen...NOWHERE in the bible does it say life will be easy if you have faith in the Lord, BUT it says you can ask forgiveness for your sins, and with the exception of suicide, you can be forgiven...I'll be honest, if my faith fails me(which it won't) then I'll die and just lay in the dirt... trying to live a DECENT life, by what the bible says in the meantime, isn't such a bad thing AND IS WORTH IT, in case we all don't just die and lie in the dirt...You however, can go on living your life faithless and turn your back on an ALLPOWERFUL BEING who sent his son here to die for alll of our SHITTYNESS(we are ALL, BY NATURE, SHITTY), and you will burn for eternity...you should think about it...there are ALOT OF THINGS IN LIFE THAT CAN'T BE EXPLAINED BY SCIENCE...you just have to have faith...IT ISN'T EASY, BUT IT IS WORTH IT....

Ok, so you didn't comprehend ---- I said, thats expected. You don't need to type in caps to make a point, it doesn't help you any. There are a lot of different religions and theologies that tell you they have the answer, even within Christianity. To have faith in them because there's something more to life than what you perceive it to be, and science, is completely arrogant. Do you think, if you were created by a god, and that god gave you the power to objectively think, question reality, and question the basis of everything that your told, that he wouldn't want you to use it and to blindly follow someone else? There's no way I can explain anything to you and have you perceive it, your mind is shut off. You have to think for yourself, objectively question your reality, don't associate with your religion and use it as a crutch when ---- doesn't pan out so well in your life.

well thats fine and you have every right to feel that way.

the problem is when you force everyone to believe that way you go from free expression to the spanish inquisition.

you do not have the right to tell other people how to live their lives, no matter how good your intentions may be.

how does gay people getting married interfere with your life? and why are you so concerned with it?

Some will, even under the Christian faith. There's a homosexual woman pastor in one sect that will wed gays. They interpret certain Bible verses in a way to say homosexuality is okay.

Rawr, I thought you were in the bridge regarding monotheism and not on the opposite end? You seemed to have changed your views from the last time I remember you talking

Elaborate please, I'm not comprehending this bridge metaphor right now in the context that you are using it.

Basically before I thought you were agnostic-ish but then I saw:

exactly, if someone wants an abortion then they should have to go to a private clinic just like getting a vasectomy.
