Re: Falwell's dead, Hallelujah!
lol, jerry falwell wanted to turn our government into a theocracy and made a good attempt by creating the moral majority, which i believe is now the called the christian coalition.
i'm not a conservative or a liberal, more like a constitutionalist, but it seems to me that the conservatives are more for strong religious beliefs and general intolerance of anything that differs or interferes with these beliefs.
heres two videos i thought were interesting from a conservative talk show called the o'reilly factor,
i don't know i guess the left seems to be better rooted in reality.

Falwell may not be able to effect policy in your opinion but his organization sure is trying, heres a qoute from his website of the moral majority.:
"As national chairman of TMMC, I am committed to lending my influence to help send out at least 40 million evangelical voters in 2008. The thought of a Hillary Clinton or John Edwards presidency is simply unacceptable (and quite frightening)."
"We will be organizing in all 50 states and enlisting and training millions of Americans to become partners in this exciting task of bringing this nation back to the moral values of faith and family on which it was founded. My National Liberty Journal newspaper will serve as a springboard for this great effort."
40 million votes could definately have an impact on policy, especially since they are all going to vote the same way, but i never called any leader a moron or stated that they were wrong, i was merely pointing out why some people are relieved by his death.

IMO, the truth is somewhere between where you and rawr typically stand on issues.
Anyway. I'm glad Falwell's gone. No laughter, sarcasm, or dragging him around in the mud involved in that. Just a simple statement of fact.

I think if queers(this includes LESBIANS) wanna be queers, they can...BUT there marriage SHOULD NOT be legally recognized by our country AND they shouldn't be able to adopt children and influence the youth of our country with their sick way of living(the bible says that men and women belong together, and I agree)...I believe a woman who has been raped or has become pregnant at an older age(which makes it a health risk), BY MISTAKE, should be allowed to have an abortion, but I don't think a young *** girl who doesn't take responsibility everytime she ------s her legs should be allowed to murder one baby after another...I believe physically healthy, ABLE U.S. citizens SHOULD WORK and not be handed a FREE RIDE, i.e. food stamps, tanf checks, subsidized housing, etc. etc....The pledge of allegiance says ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, I believe the Holy Bible is the word OF GOD...I know we can't ALWAYS do exactly as it says, but I think if we at least TRIED to learn what it says and tried to do things in this country REMOTELY like it says they should be done, this country would be a better place...Life might not be quite as entertaining as it is now for some of us, but in the long run, I think things would be ALOT MORE PEACEFUL, and we might all sleep a little better at night....Sooo, what would that make me??
