Enjoy replacing your front struts every 10K. But hey, at least they don't lock up AC compressors like the CRVs, right?

haven't heard of the strut problem yet...going to look into it.....too late now anyway i own it already....---- did just get 425 miles on one tank of gas

looking on 8thcivic.com i did read about some strut problems seems limited to si's though.and it seems like it is 02 through 06....and a nother guy had a problem with a leaking rear shock...but haven't found much more then that

Its a problem on any newer honduh with mcstruts. They are cheap and shitty, probably designed by GM.

My RSX type S had 3 sets of struts put on it, 1 ecu, 1 cylinder head, bunch of cheap interior parts replaced, and some other ---- I cant remember at the moment, under warranty. I sold it at 40K miles.

As far as im concerned, honda died in 1996.

If you are worried about fuel economy why not pick up the hybrid? Premium isn't THAT much more, and knowing I'm paying more makes me keep light on the pedal.

For a 1.8 SOHC, the R18 makes decent power. I drove my buddy's LX and it's just a little squishier than my Si... both are fun to drive.

That single port exhaust manifold on the R18 is kinda crazy... begging for a turbo ;)

Yes your honda was a pos and it has something to do with gm ???

Honda's business strategy in terms of the basic engineering of their vehicles is blatantly 'gm' hence my comment. Basically my way of saying gm sucks the cock and honda's holding the camera. :1

Front and rear struts JD haha.

Im a tech at Honda. I cant count how many struts Ive done on 06-08 civics.
Every other model sucks pretty bad too.

I also own a 06 lx Manual Sedan. I love it.

Went 15.6 with a crush bent exhaust lol.

How many of them were si's? I sometimes have a "pop" from the front struts when going over bumps at slow speeds... I should probably get that taken care of, lol. I think there is a TSB out for that...

edit: I see you said "every other model"... so.... balls.

Honda died with Soichiro, but it took until '01 for it to really set in. Since, all Honduh has become is another crap manufacturer subsisting off of Hype and Brand Loyalty, with their product quality walking the line between losing that hype and maximizing profits at the parts counter. See also: valve retainers that split on 40-60K automatic trans vehicles that can't be overreved, automatic slushboxes that are progressively shittier since '98+, PR-targeted TSBs/recalls that did nothing (K-series gearboxes), etc.

Same with the older cars, only the rpm range is shorter. With eCtune I can do a light load/high load VTEC rpm point based on whatever TPS % I specify, and it interpolates for all points inbetween.

BTW, I tuned an S300 two weeks ago... what a limited, stone age pile of ---- that was.

Not to be a dick to you, but anything that markets with OMG JDM RALLYE STYLE SHIFTER FROM THE DASH in a high 16 second performance-oriented platform... it was obviously a sack of defective ---- from reading the brochure, no test drive or road history needed on that one, and it doesn't need to be pointed out. I try to forget those faggot cars exist as they might affect the resale value of my retirement plan, CRXs.

I want to buy at least 1 more. The prices are getting retarded for a shitbox crx, especially with everyone flipping out about gas. I wish I could get my hands on an SiR before they're all raped :(

I didn't want one until I took a test drive. They moved the shifter to the normal spot for the '06+ Si. I am aware of your hatred for the K-series, so I'll leave that alone :-X

Good luck on the CRX 401-K.... it's probably beating the current financial market, lol.

boost it, it already has a turbo manifold. honda seems to love to give you everything you need to turbo a car. only thing missing is the turbo

Something in my financial sense tells me no matter what car of mine is totaled, you always buy used and pocket the rest of the insurance loot.
