be careful with leaning strategies, if you run too lean you'll get too many nox emissions and fail anyways.

Did you fail with similar results?
I kind of want to correct the problem, not just get around it.

....or you could run it down to about 1/8 tank, buy 4 bottles of heet and throw it in there. Cheaper than $15.00. Passed by buddy's 82 mercury zephyr.

was the car driven for 30+ minutes before you went and got it tested?

dont these people recommend what you need to pass the emissions after a fail?

some rx7 guys do this. put some rubbing alcahol in your gas tank. my friend did that and it passed. maybee your timing is messed up. it was the timing on the rx7 and we fixed that and put alchahol and it passed well below what was needed.

I had like 17 times the legal limit of CO when I got my old *** Audi tested, and theres was no way I could afford to spend $350 on it to get a waiver, so I just went to a smog place I knew was hella crooked and they just typed my VIN in and put the sniffer into a Lexus they had in the shop. So my car was still way over, but thats not what the certificate said They just added $20 to the normal smog test fee and called it good.
