Faded paint.
so i have a turbo 92 eg as my daily. It has no rust. It came from florida. however the roof and hood are extremly sun faded. I was wondering what the best time of wax is to lessen the fading. I really would like to stay away from repainting. This car is also being turboed and my daily driver here in the midwest and i am wondering whats thge best way to prevent rust.

You could try something like the Mother's 3-step wax, or a light polishing compound to see if it helps. For rust prevention, make sure the underneath of it stays clean, and some of the rubberized undercoating should help to prevent it in the wheelwells. I would also remove the rubber on the lip of the rear wheelwells since they catch dirt and generally rust out that area before anything else on the car.

Usually a good machine polish and glaze will bring back the color, but you have to do it repeatedly over time otherwise it'll just keep fading back.

well i got my car it was in the same situaction your car sounds like your car is now i just went to walmart and got some 2000grit automotive paper then wet sanded the hood, cab top, and trunk lid. nothing fancy needed just a normal run of the mill sander and a pail of soapy water. then i used my buffer and buffed in some 3m fine grane rubbing compoun a couple times over. then buffed in some turtle wax. i think it looks better than it probably did brand new. but be advised this will take you a good part of an afternoon to do sooooo have some time set aside :y

i did 1000 then 2000 but i didnt sugest that to him becouse it will just take to much time
