boo-yah baby. figured i'd be all pimp and make some intercooler pipes. seems as how no neon kits want to have the piping run up top. i hated that, plus none of the kits had anything that would come close to fitting my johnny racecar intercooler. so without further ado, and don't make fun of my welds- on two of the pipes i just have the pieces tacked together, they'll be welded tomorrow. and yes i don't have my silicone couplers yet, and my bov isn't welded into place yet either. but i just had to show the pics so far cause i'm proud

anyway as you can tell there's still lots of finish work to be done. but i'm just stoked to be where i am right now. and look forward to both a projects page from me and also to hear about how badass fast my car will be in about 3 weeks or so

hey thanks for all the positive comments so far, damn thing is i have to tack weld all the pipes with an arc welder and that sucks ***. it's hard cause i've got this really thin rod and the heat has to be just right. i need to take more lessons from my pop, no wait, what i really need to do is buy a mig welder. and airtronics i bet i have a lot more room than you because i deleted anything and everything that wasn't absoloutly necessary and also i've only got a 2.0 don't you have a 2.4? and abaz i should definitely have a good write-up for ya in a few weeks or so. \
i can't wait to get it going and hear that xs type h rfl baby yeah!

 

Looks nice. I couldn't imagine the excitement I would feel while fabbing up my own pipes. Seems fun.
