Re: F350 desile ?????

Um dude non highway diesel is fine to run in any deisel engine. It's no differant. It's just one you get charged highway tax on and the non highway doesn't get the tax. Ive run it in work trucks tons of times. If you get pulled over by a vehicle enforcment officer and he checks your tank you get a big fine..It's something else wrong with his truck dudes just trying to get your paycheck.

i was told that there is something difrent with the old fuel and the new highway fuel, i know they passed a law recently requiring a more clean diesle fuel, but you mgiht be right, could just be trying to get his pay check

Re: F350 desile ?????

Yeah dudes trying to blame him for his truck breaking down. The only differance between the two is the dye so the cops can tell if your trying to not pay fuel tax or not.

Re: F350 desile ?????

i know the dye thing with heating oil, ^-^ and all of that. i wonder what it is... cause the truck is definatly pussafied right now, has less power than my 2500 6.0..lol.. i know the turbo is spooling, im gona hook my boost gauge up to it and see what he is runing, need to finde some one who can tell me whats wrong with it.

Re: F350 desile ?????

Im assuming that its a hell of alot more complicated than you think. That diesel isnt running 40psi base fuel pressure like your honda. I dont know about the smaller diesels but cummins engines run a couple thousand psi for fuel pressure. That and the injectors are the size of my shoe and are mechanically controlled off of the cam.

Re: F350 desile ?????

finaly some one who either has tried to work on a diesle or has, they are not simple, but im always willing to learn, and make mistakes, as long as they dont cost to much

and for you

i did the fuel filter, and air filter, this weekend if it isnt 20 degres out, im gona look at the injector seals, and injectors.....

Re: F350 desile ?????

It's simple, the guy fir put DESILE on the truck and that fucked it up. Then he tried DIESLE, and it still didn't work right. So they told him to go back and try the DESILE again, still it would not run. I think you should try some DIESEL on it. Should work fine. :1 :-* :P

Re: F350 desile ?????

The new diesels are all faggy and "green"they are low sulphur, when you fill up pour some 2 stroke engine oil in the tank as well. My dad does it on his cummins and swears by it. And be careful working on the fuel system. few thousand psi will blow right through your lotion softened right hand.
