Re:evo 8 vs. a Skyline r34

all stock? i'd put my money on the evo.

but add $5k worth of upgrades and skyline hands down.

Re:evo 8 vs. a Skyline r34

yes but its only rated at 280 from the factory.. thats why I said stock vs stock evo, but 5k modified skyline for sure ;)

Re:evo 8 vs. a Skyline r34

no doubt but dont you think the skyline is beast.

Re:evo 8 vs. a Skyline r34

definately... bulletproof motor.. but both are rated at 280hp. (271 evo, wise asses out there) but the skyline is MUCH heavier.

but some computer tweaks yeild 100+hp on a gt-r.

Thats just how the japenesse to things. It's an unwritten agreement between japanesse manufactures not to make a production rating of over 280hp. (or atleast it used to be that way). Even tho changing some computer numbers free's up alot of hp.

Re:evo 8 vs. a Skyline r34

well my friend better and faster are two different things.. for a better comparison I'd take the skyline just because its a skyline... faster, ,stock, Evo.

It's an unwritten agreement between japanesse manufactures not to make a production rating of over 280hp this is for the rated power really a r34 skline is pushing a bout 350hp i saw a dyno chart for a stock r34 vspec 2 skyline from motorex the manufactures do this so insurence rates will stay low on there cars that is a big selling point over there

Example the new neon srt-4, rated at 215hp, dynoed at 225 to the wheels.
