Re: Ever heard of the JDM D15b with DUAL MAAADD VTAKK!!?
welcome to the 90's
|
Re: Ever heard of the JDM D15b with DUAL MAAADD VTAKK!!?
it was only tubular on the lower half
|
Re: Ever heard of the JDM D15b with DUAL MAAADD VTAKK!!?
The 99-00 EX D16 headers were tubular I believe. They used one in a single cam N/A build in Honda Tuning like several issues ago.
But yeah those are just tubular on the lower half. |
Re: Ever heard of the JDM D15b with DUAL MAAADD VTAKK!!?
Hell weren't all y8 manifolds tubular...not just the lower half?

Re: Ever heard of the JDM D15b with DUAL MAAADD VTAKK!!?
Speaking of weird vtec motors....friend of my wifes had me look at her car for her this afternoon. Under the hood of that bitch was a ZC Vtec. ZC bottom end...mad tyte vtack head.
Then at the junkyard where I bought *cough, henry, silver SSR X's for 13,000y* on saturday morning they had a "ZC vtec" ecu. I thought...tahts ------- weird. Guess it came in EK civics... Never seen this from the factory before. BTW, never a ------- SOHC again. :-X ---- THAT! |

One to switch from 12 valve to 16 valve mode, and the other activates the hi cam. |

Re: Ever heard of the JDM D15b with DUAL MAAADD VTAKK!!?
I was to buy a ZC DOHC 92-95 tranny from him...........until I did digging thru Honda.jp website and found the gear ratios were the same as 92-95 Si but the gearbox need the bigger spline equal length axles.
I was hoping for the "ZC" 3-4 as found in the cable trannys.........research saved me about $300 shipped. That was my WebTV days.........egad......that long ago! |

That happens around me a lot. Cat's or other animals crawl up in an engine bay of an old ford or chevy truck cause it's warm. Then in the mourning the truck gets started and the fan blades shred the fucker. A guy my dad worked with drove around with blood and cat hair in the grill for like a month. Re: Ever heard of the JDM D15b with DUAL MAAADD VTAKK!!?
Pierce manifold still sells carb dohc zc set ups. I own a set of 45mm webers I have rebuilt for if I ever do a real mans D build not honda-tech crap style yo. Carbs/non vtec aka follow Bisi.
Dohc zc are fun motors boosted. First one I helped with was back in 1998. FMU pumpin regulator the sohc zc vtec block is super duper common I have swapped that motor into peoples car more than I want to think about The downdraft set up was a blast in my buddies 84 crx. Hole in the hood style before the K series :S |
