Re: Ever gotten sick from a sunburn?
sounds like sun poisoning to me. and i know what that feels like. it was weird because it gave me the major chills, enough for me to turn up the heat in my house to max and throw a blanket around me. sleeping sucked for a week.
i was reading up on " sun poisoning " and here is what i got from a google search:
" Direct contact with certain chemicals, followed by sun exposure also can cause sun poisoning. The most common substances that cause these "sun-allergic" responses are found in deodorant bar soaps, detergents, certain suntan lotions, shampoos, "first-aid" creams, and various cosmetics and toiletries. Even chemicals found in a variety of vegetables and fruits can cause sun-sensitive reactions. Gardeners and farmers who spend time in the sun and handle foods such as carrots, celery, parsnips, figs, and limes are especially susceptible. Sun poisoning has also been reported as a result of using herbal shampoos prior to sun exposure. "

make sure you use the clear aloe, or if you can find it, they make a Blue aloe that will numb your skin for a short amount of time. It feesl no nice when your ------- fried! The green aloe that you buy just has more color additives to make it green. Real aloe is clear.

That happened to me. I was at one of the Niagara meets and forgot sunscreen. I got fried and was so sick the next day. I'm a big fan of the Coppertone continuous spray spf 45 now. It only takes a few seconds to put on unlike all the rubbing and ---- you have to do with the cream stuff.
