Ever get smoked by a saturn? funny story
So tonight me and my buddy headed up to the turnpike, the local spot to be on a fri/sat night. Loaded with just about every car you can imagine. Anyway, he drives an 05 saturn ion redline (same thing as cobalt ss) but the saturn version. Rated 205 stock but they are dynoing 200-210 wheel stock so needless to say they are pretty underrated. His mods are intake and exhaust. Tack on a 75 shot of the giggle gas and you have yourself one hell of a fun time 
. So we are chilling at a light and this 90-93 body style teg pulls up next to us and the kid is grilling the ---- out of us so I just smile and kinda laugh and he says "what's funny" and i'm like you'll find out soon enough. So hes like "I bet I will" and we proceed to the next light. I now notice he has drag radials but I know he has no turbo because he gave it a little bit right next to us and I didnt here ---- (no blower either). So hes like ok lets go right here... So I give my friend the button and tell him to rape this guy badly even though he probably wont need the juice. I figure hes got maybe a gsr swap with bolt on's. The huge AEM sticker on the passenger window lost him some brownie points on my scale haha. So we go from a dig and he pulls the saturn out of the hole about a car and holds that lead till about 100. The kid rolls down his window and yells "think twice next time before you laugh at a honda" I'm like what the ---- man were you spraying?? Hes like YES what the ----. So he turns on his dome light and one of the terminals on the button had come undone. HAHA so we pull up next to light and we are like good job, we were giving it about half throttle. Hes like bullshit, why would you do that so he tells us to turn around so we do and go from a low roll, hit the juice and pull him about 6 cars in one gear. 
He catches us at the next light and is like holy ---- dude, this is a type r motor with i/h/e. I told him congratulations for on the biggest waste of money in honda history and we went on our way. Hotrex got a whip in the ion and can vouch that it ***** out

Don't tell your buddy this but...those engines are built to handle much more 
The tranny on the other hand heh. What I dont like about it is the aweful wheel hop. They may be equal length axles but man is it horrible. Nice Recaro seats though huh? Is his wing still on lol? I noticed every new car I test drove those damn rear wings flap all over the place and the so called "close ratio" trans is not close at all. Very tall gears but overall they arent bad. Has he brought it in for the cam sensor seal oil leak recall yet hehe.

Beefier rods and better pistons than the 2.2 version and lower comp. The stock crank will hold 650 hp and there are rods and pistons available.
