Eratic idle on obd-1

Eratic idle on my hatchback... Basicly my car runs great but the idle is nuts revs from 1g to 2g at idle. Also checked the TPS sensor with a muti-meter, and everything checked out fine... |What could be going on?

check for vacuum leaks and burp the coolant system of air. those are the easiest solutions to try first.

More expensive. Could be a faulty FIAV (The valve that lets air into the intake manifold when the engine is cold, which keeps the revs up to the warm up range). That valve could be stuck open.

BUt check for vacuum leaks and burp that coolant.

Re:Eratic idle on obd-1

Well today I changed out the throttle body gasket with a brand new one. Beliving that could have been the source. Same thing idle is iratic. Also what would the coolant do anything with idle. Also i don't have the coolant line hookedup to my throttlebody. Could this be the prob? Also if my TPS reads .4 volts on the tellow wire. Then reads .4 to 4.9 instead of being .5 to 5.0 i belive the manual says. Could the tps be bad, and the ecu isn't getting a check engine light to come on. Sorry if the post doesn't make much sence just got back from drinking too night.
