i just found out how much people have been ripoff by a shop in my town. for a d16y8 swap into a 4th gen hatch would be 3500. a b18 would run 5500. this is crazy because i actually know people who have paid this much for their swaps. the prices are like this because i am in santa fe, nm in abq an hour away it is only a third of the price if not less. i just wanted to know the different prices were you guys are.

ps this shop wanted me to drop a d16 into an accord. i know i am not getting my engine from them

do what i did: a year ago i didnt even know how to change oil, but i blew my HF motor, so i had to do a swap, figured it all out.
rent a cherry picker, get a chilton and some tools, save yourself 3k

400 bucks for full turbo install including custom exhaust. legitimate shop too, friend of mines, does h22, b18, turbos all the time.

a d16 motor swap would cost me 180 for everything motor and swap. remember we are DIY guys here
