To make a long story short, Ryan and I were installing my new engine into seafoam and had the driver and passenger side mounts bolted up. We were positioning the engine with the hoist to get the rear tranny mount lined up. I was under the car and all of the sudden the whole engine shifted and smashed my thumb. It pulled my whole nail right out, split the end of my thumb open, and crushed my bone a little bit. At least I got some painkillers out of the deal.

Yea I went to the hospital. No stitches, they said it should heal by itself. Just gonna take a looooong time

yea it takes FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR for nails to heal, specially if the whole nial is ripped out.

I should be able to finish with one hand, We got the motor in and most of the hard stuff done. I just have to put the axles back in and bolt everything up and install the turbo kit.

Dude, that's ------- nasty.

I thought I got it bad three weeks ago when playing softball I decided to catch the ball with my other hand already in the mitt by accident because I wanted to get the ball out asap but obviously I jumped the gun. The ball came in at about 75mph and crushed my right ring finger against the heel of my glove. 5 minutes later it overtook my thumb as the biggest finger on my hand. I never lost the nail thank god, but the finger is still numb to this day and it's bigger than all my fingers except my thumb.

ouch that freakin sucks, I have had a trannny fall of the engine before and pinch it between the two and that freakin HURT! can't imagine how much that hurts. that happend last winter and mine is still fubar'ed hope heals quick ;D

Haha when I was dropping in my DOHC ZC (by myself) and I was getting the rear mount lined up I had almost the same thing happen.... didnt mangle it AS bad but I did get a knarly blood blister that was the size of a quarter. Good luck with that....
