hey guys, i had a discussion on welding with my bro in law. He says that his welds are beautiful and look good too. I think it looks like ---- and also it won't hold up long for the external wastegate. I can weld consistent beads and he's telling me my welding is wrong. This was done with a lincoln 135t mig w/ argon/co2 mix. So does this weld look good or does it look like ----?

yup it's stainless. I told him it's not wise at all to use my steel wire on stainless. His reply was "don't worry I do this a lot at work. It's all good"

the thing is, if it looks like ---- it can totally be a very good, strong weld. its all about penetration, the cleaning properties of the gas your using... from what i can see in the pic, its not beautiful, but if he's any kind of welder, you wont have a problem whatsoever.
