I have one of those (radar jammers) there the best the one I have actually maipulates the radar..when I drive by the little signs on the side of the road that tells you haow fast your goin is always off by 20mph I love it.

My radar has saved me soo many times. When your radar goes off on either K, Ka, or X band your typically have 5-6 secs before his radar gives him the reading. If its Laser, then your time is cut down half to about 3 secs. So, it a lot about reaction times. But a late warning is sometimes better than no warning.

you could hide the radar jammer right? I'm sure if he clocked you going 45mph and you were doing 65-70 mph he may be a little concerned and pull you over for the heak of it and do a search of the car or something... I'd put a radar jammer under my front bumper or something (weather proof the thing), etc...

lol most of you guys are wrong about radar! I do police ride alongs all the time cause yes i admit it i want to be a cop! Ok with laser once the detector goes off your cought you dont have 3 sec. cause light goes 186,000 miles per second. so you have no reaction time. So if your detector says laser then that means its on you! or a vehicle right next to you. A lot of cops drive with there radar detector mounted on there dash so they clock people that drive past them in the oppisite lane. So you have a fair amount of warning to slow down before you get clocked. If they are sitting and clocking people everytime they pull the trigger your radar detector will go off, so if your the only one on the road then theyll probably get you with no warning, but if theres other cars in front of you it'll get them first and your radar detector will warn you of radar. There is so many factors with it though.

I have one and it has worked a lot of the time. But i got cought speeding 23 over with laser once. My detector went off and he was after me!

You just gatta know what to look for! i could write like 4 more pages on this but i dont feel like it!

MP dont keep it on, they know people are using radar detector, so they turn it on and off, so you think you get false signal, but they are hidden behind hills on the side of the road, especially in fort Irwin CA, on the long stretch, you will see dust clowd comming through the desert, you get pulled over and wonder how you pass him and did not him.radar detectors dont work!

no they do work, you just cant be stupid about it.

-always travel in traffic, prefrebly with someone speeding ahead of you
-only go 10-15mph over
-in rain and snow laser dosent work so dont worry about it then
-watch peoples brake lights, i did that for a while before i got my passport 8500, that works really good
-dont use a $50 walmart radar dector
-travel in the second or third lane not the far left lane

my friend has a shitty radar dector in his camaro, the piece goes off all the time and gives u no warning, mine is way better it actually works. if you get a radar dector get a good one.

what you did was just asking to get caught, the cop didnt even turn his radar on until he was behind you.

if you really wanna do top speed you have to be twice as fast as the cops.

they have a top speed of 126 mph and 0-60 in 9 seconds for an impala or interceptor. its pretty stupid to run from them anyway b/c they have radios.
