alrighty.well for my english class i'm writing about y ppl shouldn't have to go through emissions...because obviously i think they are stupid.so if u guys possibly could plz give me some info., what u think about it, or a website with information about it.it would be really helpful cuz' i'm not finding crap online about it.

because transport trucks pollute more. its a scam to make money.

Some people can't afford to repair cars. or buy new ones.

Alot of emissions places do the tests incorrectly. Ie. not using a fan in front of the car, not cleaning the test nozzle first

well here in SD there making more lanes on the freeway for busses and the trolly. ( totaly gay and wast of money) to me busses palot more then cars.

1 bus more then 1 car yes.. but how many people ride on that bus? 30? 30cars = WAY worse the 1 bus.

---mention how many % of the ppl driving a SUV/ pickup are always by themself =creating unnessery emission.
---compare the number of large displacement car on the road to other similar country with less. (Europe?)
---aged car required a lot more maintance to be kept at a certain level and usually ppl with such an old car might NOT be able to affor all those replacement.
---Pre-197x (those years that doesn`t require smog check) cars should be kept OFF the road, too old, runs like ----, yet no law to control them so no one even bother to fix them.
---suggest that smog check is not the correct way to CONTROL emission but just to MAINTAIN it.
---compare emission law to other country (AFAIK emission law in the US is like the second toughest one after Japan)

lol. thats funny, if i was to take an emissions test withought my emissions junk, i wouldnt even think about passing. but i dont know. here in atlanta the buses dont really bother me mainly because the metro buses run on natural gas. its just the damned school buses and ----. yeah its a rip off and another way for the government to get money, but o well. just make sure you have a catelytic converter thats legalk in cali, unless you drive an rx7, wich means you get in there, crank the car, crank it, wait till the cars warmed up, then replace it again. yall are lucky i tells yah. its damned hard to pass emissions with an rx7.

Just because its a bigger engine doesnt necesarrily mean it pollutes more......its all in the maitenance/condition. In school we did emmissions tests on everones cars (mostly average 4 cyls) and one of the cleanest ones was this old recneck ass chevy truck with a 454.....no cats/emmissions anything.

WTF ARE YOU TALKIN ABOUT. There is NO SORT of emission tests done here.??? I have never had to have a car tested and I only live about 30 minutes from you?

You people don't realize that emission laws are the same for v8's and 4 cylinders. So technically, v8's have to run cleaner than 4cylinders (litre per litre) just to meet the average requirement. Also, where are you getting that "it's another way for the state to make money"? ::) Emissions places are owned and operated by private businessmen/women. The state isn't pocketing any of the profits.

This is a stupid subject and if it wasnt a girl you guys wouldnt have even care.Dont you live far up in wisconsin anyways? Anywhere out of milwaukee and madison dont have to worre about emissions. But if you do just file that ---- upnorth and why are you doing a paper on this stuff?

"all the money"... yeah i'm sure it's a shitload. The state's really making a shitload selling the testing machines, those things are tens of thousands of dollars each, oh wait, they're sold by a privately owned company also. :P

no, but in cobb county you do and in other places. fulton, dekalb, and some others require. i know cobb and forsyth do.
