Yes, it was homemadeturbo that did the test and if I remember right they said the car gained maybe 10 hp. Overall it really sucked though and just got in the way. Also sounds really stupid. The plastic peice of crap would proly break and get sucked into your intake anyways and that wouldn't be good.

They sure are selling like crazy on ebay though.

Re:electronic turbo

Ya we did a test on it, and it was completely worthless. it created more of a restriction than anything. we found NO Gains, or any type of benifits with those stupid things..

Now their is a company... who started this along time ago, that have ones that are proven... I belive its called the E-ram
http://www.electricsupercharger.com/
they are a bit spendy, and are alot differnt than these boat blowers that people are trying to sell on ebay.

Re:electronic turbo

Ive seen those things on E-bay when i was looking for a turbo... damn... thats pathetic... people are actually buying them with the notion that there gonna get instant horsepower. 240CFMs is what there claiming to put out... yeah right! maybe if you plug it in to 24V but still you risk blowing the little fucker up and have you engine eat the parts right up. they go for about 40-60 its money you could have used for something else... there is no substitute for real boost.

Re:electronic turbo

now i have a thing like the tornado that puts a spin on the air when it enters your intake and it does work i could feel a difference but the eletric ones suck major ass. A frind of mine bought a eletric turbo for his truck and it killed his alternator costing him like $240 which i still pick on him about

Re:electronic turbo

Do you think the tornado improved gas milage at all? I have a friend who wants to buy one... I have never tried one, and I think they kinda look goofy :-*

Re:electronic turbo

basically what its intended to do is to cause less turbulence as air passes through the throttle body... kinda like what a rifle barrel does to a bullet... this is supposed to let air in easier... allowing it to enter the cylinders ( ever do that water bottle tornado experiment in highschool for science) well its kinda like that... it might work... who knows????
