Electrical problems
I have now bought three batteries this year. I don't have a clue as to what is draining the battery. For example, I had the car parked for about two days and the battery just took a dump. Any suggestions?

hmmm something is draining your battery......turn off your head lights before you leave your car..

Re: Electrical problems
its called paracitic draw(I cant spell)
take a ampmetre and connect betwen the batt and the ground cable and see the amps it runs. if its abov I beleave .5 ma its to much(or even use a test light) its better with the meter. once u see the draw start pulling fuses and watch your reading to see what fuse pull drops your draw. once found look through that cercuit for any device that can be causing the problem, normaly a bad relay |
Re: Electrical problems
I'll be sure to try that tomorrow, thanks

Re: Electrical problems
ya. but a test light wont work. there's always a small amount of 12v for the radio and ecu memory. use a voltmeter and check the current draw (amps)

Re: Electrical problems
if u use a test light a lot you can
if it realy bright there is your problem drop fuses untill you light dimms |
Re: Electrical problems
or your voltage regulator/altenater could just not be working anymore
