all of those pumps are way overkill except the 1st one that is way too small. they would all work but the 3 big ones would put a lot of strain on your alternator and i dont think the small one would move quite enough to be very effective. you need something in the middle of those. i know the attraction to water to air intercoolers, but i am pretty sure i remember reading that they arent as effective as air to air intercoolers. you may want to do some research to make sure it is even worth it before spending more money on a water to air system

i think there more effective but not as practicle for the daily driver.

i am gonna have to do some real research on it now. i have always wanted to do a water to air intercooler for the sleeper look

EDIT:
i just did a small amount of research and i found this

For automotive street applications, air-to-air technology is easy to install, highly effective, extremely reliable since it has no moving parts, and requires no maintenance. Air-to-water intercooler systems, on the other hand, are much more difficult to install as they contain an intercooler, a separate radiator to cool the water, a water tank, and a pump. But probably the biggest drawback to air-to-water on the street is that this technology requires the addition of ice to match the efficiency of air-to-air technology. Additionally, the requirement of ice and the possibility of pump failure or leakage means that air-to-water is also inherently less reliable.

For race-only applications, air-to-water works well since the need to add ice at the track prior to each run is not a big drawback. The other issues are the same as listed above for street applications, and efficiency will be comparable with the use of ice.

yeah... i wasnt thinking that there are alot more parts to break. yeah the first one is for a computer??? i dont know what youd want that for. youd have to have a crazy computer setup going. i was thinking a front mount air to air... until i found water to air for $150 plus radiator (50), pump (?50?), and resevior... i dont know money/cost wise, it seemed to work out about the same. plus i liked that i wasnt going to have to run much charge pipe at all (keeping the whole kit on the drivers side). it might end up being better just going front mount. well see. thanks for your help.

water to air has its advantages, but for a daily driver i think water/air is too much trouble

Zack ive thought about doing the same exact thing, but the added weight and complexity doesnt seem to be worth the comparativley small gains that the air to water unit provides, plus a system like that aint cheap. I think if youre full race its probably a better choice but im not convinced its worth the gains for street use, you could probably get a decent air to air and spend the extra cash on a different part that will have a greater effect than going air to water

cool. thanks for the advice. honestly what got me started on this is siliconeintakes.com... they have the intercoolers for $149. and i trust the quality of their parts. they dont have prices on the pumps/radiators/reseviors yet though. fmic it is until i see the prices on their parts.

jay... you should go water to air... and sell me your fmic for $75. ;D

Haha well actually ive been thinking of going to a 8 or 10 inch, somthing rated to at least 600hp. I was actually thinking about stacking another CCA 6" on top of the one i have but i figured i should just go to a single big one. Where is Johnny Racecar when you need them?
