It matters when the spring rate is so stiff it actually makes the car handle worse.

I had Ebay $50 coilover jobs on my car for a while because I couldn't stand the stock fender gap. Blew my struts pretty quick, can you say ghetto hop? The car looked hot, didn't drive very well though. Then I upgraded and put some KYB struts and Eibach lowering springs with a 2 inch drop, looks good and handles great. But nothing beats that super slammed look for sure.

Assuming the spring rates are stiffer than the stock ones, you'd need to buy a set of shocks to go with it wouldn't you? That's the more expensive part for sure. General word on the internet says you'll blow the stock shocks quick with just new springs.

i had those on my old civic. They blew the stock shock in weeks. After I upgraded them to KYB AGX the ride was decent, stiff but decent.

I'd go with the "You get what you pay for theory" although I have no experience with them.
