EF love?...need opinions

well, I'm gonna take a break from the ek till i can build up a real motor/setup for it, and i found a nice 91 si hatch for 2500. i never find them around me, so im not sure if this price is decent for a car with 180k. its either this or get a neon for 1295 (which i can afford, i would need to borrow some cash for the hatch). any opinions if i should spend that much on it? bear in mind im cheap as ---- and got my 96 hatch for 2500 too

Re:EF love?...need opinions

From personal experience, people will tell you you're getting fucked and that they can get them for $4.95 all day long, but I paid $1625 for mine and I'm happy. IMO, $2500 is a bit too high, but I can't see the car. :-\

i cant find ---- near me (jersey) that doesnt have rust or already have ---- done to it. i can kinda justify paying more for a clean car, especially this one since i can just slap my built bottom end in there ;)

Re:EF love?...need opinions

That was my problem too. I couldn't find ----. I had to drive 300+ miles as it was to find this one.

This will piss you off.

Re:EF love?...need opinions

Since when did SI's come with rear disks?

or maybe the guy upgarded to rear disks... anyway i dont think 2,500 is worht it like the Homie RenR said, dont pay more than 2,000...try to get it for less if you can....but the again it does have a ZC and rear disks so thats like 200 you dont have to spend for the rear disks and another 300-500 for a ZC.

None the less try and get it for 2,000

Re:EF love?...need opinions

I bought mine for 500 but the motor was on 3 cylinders and the suspension was shot and the quarter panel was mangled. I just wish i wouldnt have sunk so much money in it cuase ill prolly never get it back. :-\

I thought that all 90-91 Si's had rear discs, but I've only witnessed crxs having them.

Re:EF love?...need opinions

Re:EF love?...need opinions

Re:EF love?...need opinions

I got a '89 civic 1.6i SR...it's almost the same as your Si's...mine has rear disk brake and a glass sun/moon roof whatever you want to call it.
It slides righ into the roof...nice though but heavy.
oh yeah my car came with a D16A6...I'm swapping a ZC in right now

I can't wait to get another EF. Julio adopted my last kid. I miss her :'(

If the Si is clean 1800 isn't too bad, especially if the seats are in great shape. Check it out and keep us updated! Good luck! :)

I'm sure you know by now, but only CRX Si's came with rear discs, just another guy to verify. ;)
