ecu codes and fi
having issues with my civic wondered if anyone could answer a few questions... the other day i was trying to get my car to the track and the bitch wouldnt start when i got there. so trying to make ---- work i tear out the passenger carpet and read a 16 on the ecu and thats fi. now the question is, now could that be fuel pump too or just the fi system thats gone assoverteacup? any ideas would be kewl.

Re:ecu codes and fi / question on top of a question
ok another approach towards fixing the problem i have the intake manifold from another d15b2 that has the other version of pgmfi. im currently running(if what i had worked) the dpfi pgmfi can i convert to the mpfi pgmfi version whithout screwing anything up or massive rewiring??

Re:ecu codes and fi
Properly the Igniter, in the Dizzy. It will not throw a code and it will prevent a spark to go to the spark plug. It pretty common for it to happen once or twice in a cars lifespan.

Re:ecu codes and fi
coil's are also pretty common in distributors.. but ignitors are more comon.

Re:ecu codes and fi
ok try this. went back to mess with my vic and the damn thing started with no problem, so i was like kewl, but im sitll getting a 16 on the ecu. my friend steve gave me another ecu and the previously mentioned mpfi pgmfi intake mainifold and throttle body. i swapped ecus for the hell of it and i still get keep getting a 16 and im really pissed off now. but the wierd thing is it still runs every now and then just not when i want it to. will the mpfi pgmfi work without rewiring or will i have to get another set of injectors for close to 200. help me out ppl. laterx
oh yeah the distributor is new along with wires and ngk plugs. |
Re:ecu codes and fi
pgmfi is the DX? then NO it will not work... DX = 2 injectors Si/hf = 4 (i believe thats correct)
