Im looking at 2 bedrooms homes with 1/2 acre+lots for under 50k in Lancaster. They need work but hell with a solid down payment my house payment will be less than a new car payment. I like. Have you thrown in your offer yet? Im hearing you can still take 5 percent off the cost they are asking in most cases. Im planning on moving back to so cal at the end of this year. The prices I feel still have a little more to go most are saying another 20 percent in most of California minus the Bay Area.

Steve, It's off the 60 between mountain and euclid south of philadelphia. Yeah that wall needs to go . we will also be tearing down a 1/2 of the wall tha devides the kitchen and the dinind room. making a breakfast bar while opening up the kitchen a bit more. i'll post better picts soon.

rawr, the pool needs work. they cut out the pumps and chopped the pipes near the ground. so it will be skateable for a while .

the house is owned by countrywide right now and the only big requirement was that financing was done through them.

---- i can't wait for the seattle market to get down that low. i'm dumping my house now, i'll be lucky to get what i paid out of it... renting a condo will be 35% of my house payment... makes way too much sense. our market is going to continue down into the ******* as well.

yes sir you can! I just bought a house right on the borderline of palmdale/littlerock! I can actually see exactly where LACR "USE" to be from my front porch! I got it for 70k with closing costs and everything included. All im paying is the 2400$ down payment to move in. There are so many houses in lancaster and palmdale right now that are fixer uppers for 50-60k its crazy! I bought this one because it needs absolutly NO work. New carpet, paint everything was redone before im moving in! Escrow closes in march!

---- im buying a house and i only make ------- 10$ a hour!!! With morgage and pmi and insurance im looking at 575$ a month!

Lancaster/Palmdale should be has cheap has it is,jobs are hard to come by out there. Im going to go with my gut and say houses continue to fall in price and try to atleast put 10k down if not more. Oh LACR I still cant believe its gone.

My bad, you're right. Its 3.5%. Still, $11K down payment is'nt bad IMO.

I'm not far from L.A at all. Downtown is 35miutes with traffic. I work in Studio City and I can make it there in less than ah hour with traffic. Me and the high desert dont get along, anyway.
