This isn't a new idea, guys. It's 15+ years old, and was presented to me in my freshman (junior in HS?)year at UNC-A, in relation to the hole in the ozone layer AND greenhouse effect, as a combination of a joke and a classic case of faulty logic. The problem was considered bigger than a handful of cows waaaaaay before there was such fervent eco-frenzy based on absolutely nothing. If China agreed to the Kyoto emissions blah blah blah, one fifth of their emissions would still equal five thousand times the global cow farts. Welcome to the end of common sense! :1 |

So for the amount of carbon and gasoline that Al Gore emitted, the average family could travel back and forth from Nashville to San Francisco in a Station Wagon 15 times. Again, they could do that 15 times just to equal Al Gores "damage to the Planet" in one day. Worst of all, Sean Hannity and Fox News found out that there were 112 commercial alternatives that Al Gore could have flown to reach that exact destination. |

I still don't understand why people flip out about postings like this. Some group of scientists got a grant to study this. They studied it and this is their conclusion. Methane gas from cows is increasing global warming. It's just another of the world's "facts". This is only one of many reasons why people lobby against how much beef we eat. It just happens cows take up a ton of resources just so we can eat them.

Was never a fan of the Gordita. I like the Baja Chulupa though. Anyone remember that time when Taco Bell had fries and you could get them with like meat, bacon, cheese, and sour creame?
