I just tell them "Hey, I didn't have a chance to change the title to my name, but the previous owner signed it. Is that cool, or do you want me to waste both our time by going to the DMV for 4 hours?" If your straight up with them and don't act like a O0 they usually don't care.

most of the cars i buy the people just sign over the title and leave the seller box blank. most times when i buy a car i tell them weather i am going to part it out or fix it up and sell it

You're just not looking in the right places, right now I have 2 cars backed up in my driveway waiting to be worked on, and i'm going to get another tomorrow or friday, I just cant keep up between school, and my other job. I should hire some HS punk to work for me.
