most people usually do their pulls in fourth gear, as far as a partial pull in 1st, not really, you're just changin gears to get to the desired gear that you want to do your pull

All our runs were in third gear.

EDIT: Avatars are supposed to be 85x85 by the way...

Use the gear that is closest to a 1:1 ratio.

And unless you know the guys at the dyno, and have done it before, you will probably not drive your own car on the dyno.

That's weird... my BMW M3 has a 1:1 ratio in 5th gear... does that mean i'd need to do my pulls in 5th gear??

sort of stupid question--no dyno needed because the car is bone stock anyway.

Is it a 6-speed? Because if your 'cruising' gear is 1:1, you must be getting horrible gas mileage.
