I finally figured it out!! I have just successfully created my first back-up DVD! I'm so stoked, this is opening so many new doors for me! I have friends that have DVD catalogs of over 1000 movies and now I can too at a fraction of the cost. Now I just need to buy a bulk supply of DVD+R's. Anyone know of a good place to get them? Now I need to mod my PS2 and figure out how to burn those!!

Now, another question. Does it matter if I get DVD+R or DVD-R. I'm looking through ebay and I'm finding a lot of DVD-R but not so many +R. I'm using +R right now and it works, so whats the deal?

Ive kinda been messing with it a little bit lately. When i use dvdshrink w/nero it will only play in my ps2 not my apex or onkyo integra. Dvd decrypter didnt work either. Since im runnin 98se could i have aproblem with fat32 file thing? It just pissing me off. Im using a liteon drive with phillips dvd+r disks. Why cant i just rip the dvd and burn the vob files? Does anyone of you have the Pioneer DVR-A07 or DVR-107? I'm thinking of getting it because it burns 8x for both DVD-R and DVD+R....

Any thoughts. Also can I get the software from someone?

UPDATE: Bought the Pioneer one because I read some reviews that the NEC 2500a is very picky about its media and also it doesnt have great error correction ability.

Just any FYI the Pioneer one could be have for ~$121 SHIPPED (THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!) on http://www.esbuy.com/pioneerdvr107.html
